Obituary

Jimmy Eugene Hodge, age 77, of Asheboro, North Carolina, passed away on February 14, 2024, in Guilford County. Born on August 10, 1946, Jimmy spent the majority of his working career in the textile industry, serving in various capacities.

An avid sports fan, Jimmy particularly enjoyed following UNC basketball and golf. He cherished spending time with his family and grandchildren, always putting others before himself. Jimmy was beloved by all who had the pleasure of meeting him.

In his youth, Jimmy attended Randleman High School in Randleman, NC. On October 31, 1964, he married Beverly Boggan in Dillon, SC. Although they have been divorced for 32 years, they remained parenting partners for life.

Jimmy is preceded in death by his mother, Canary Lucas, stepfather, Lewis Lucas, loving mother-in-law, Marie Parris, and father-in-law, Reed Parris. He is survived by his life partner, Beverly Boggan, daughter Bridget Hodge, son Brock Hodge and his wife Christel, and son Brandon Hodge. He is also survived by his grandchildren: Ethan Hodge, Ava Raymond, Colton Hodge, Traydon Hodge, and Graham Hodge.

Memorial services for Jimmy Eugene Hodge will be announced in the coming days. Midstate Cremation & Funeral Service is honored to serve the family of Mr. Hodge.
